Perth’s own piece of Hollywood, actress Melissa George, will lend her fashionable fame to help launch Melbourne’s fashion central on December 2.
George, who is set to play a guest role on American drama Lie To Me as a woman called Clara Martin, whose character is modeled on Anna Nicole Smith, will join 1500 guests at the mega party at Chadstone’s official launch.
The 33-year-old actress, who has also had roles on Greys Anatomy and recently won a Golden Globe nomination for her performance on In Treatment, has a real love for fashion.
She has even invented a device designed to stop her long pants hems dragging on the streets of New York, every fashion-follower’s nightmare. Called Hemming My Way, the snapping plastic device allows users to change the length of their trousers.
George is the face of WA jewellery brand Linney’s, and has recently attended the opening party for the Saks Fifth Avenue Calvin Klein Collection shop in New York dressed in an elegant black asymmetrical dress and red lips, the opening of Burberry’s first Perth store, and the Herve Leger By Max Azria Collection Launch Party in West Hollywood.
The Chadstone party, celebrating the launch of the hub of luxury fashion brands, will feature a performance by fellow fashionista Natalie Bassingwaithe, and After Party with Ruby Rose. Guests including Kat Stewart from Underbelly will sip apple and kaffir lime martinis as they party.
