Film4 FrightFest in London on the 27th August attended by the director and
1,300 film fans.

When Jess sets sail on a yacht with a group of friends, she cannot shake the feeling that there is something wrong. Her suspicions are realised when the yacht hits a storm and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety, a ship Jess is convinced she’s been on before. The ship appears deserted, the clock on board has stopped, but they are not alone… Someone is intent on hunting them down, one by one. And Jess unknowingly holds the key to end the terror.

Waking up in a dark room after being knocked unconscious in a car accident and her young son nowhere in sight, Jamie Taylor (Melissa George), realizes that she has been kidnapped. Her masked captor (Oded Fehr) informs her that if she ever hopes to see her son alive again, she must help his mysterious employers. However, they’re not looking to collect a ransom; instead, the man reveals that Jamie’s husband is secretly a brutal killer who recently stole millions from his bosses.

The organization will stop at nothing to retrieve the missing money, and they think that their captive is the one person who can help them find it. Chained to a grate in a cold, dark room, with her marriage upended, her son’s life in jeopardy and no idea who she can trust, Jamie must attempt to piece together clues from the life she thought she knew in order to escape this nightmare and save the lives of her beloved family.

The Perth-born actor was a special guest of the Red Bull Air Race World Series and watched Austrian Hannes Arch finish Saturday’s round with the fastest qualifying time. The result saw Arch assured the series’ title with a single point, putting him in an unbeatable position, regardless of the results of tomorrow’s race.

George, 33, said she had a fascination with aircraft. “I’d love to go up in one of the planes,” she said. “I’m obsessed with it. I want to learn how to fly.” George divides her time between Los Angeles, New York and Argentina, but was thrilled to be home to catch up with family.

“To try to get time out of Grey’s Anatomy is really hard, but I knew that my sister had just had a baby and I wanted to see her desperately,” she said.

“It’s my sister’s third kid and I love seeing her so happy and my mum and dad are here and my little sister. I love Perth, when I come home I really appreciate it.”

George said she jumped at the opportunity to join one of America’s most popular TV shows.

“It’s such a great show and when I met with the creator I just thought ‘wow, I’d love to be part of it’,” she said.

She described her latest role as a bisexual intern as a bit of fun.

“I haven’t stopped laughing since I’ve gone to work,” she said. “It’s the most fun, crazy, great set.”

Despite a hectic filming schedule, George said she maintained a healthy balance between work and home life with her husband, Chilean film director Claudio Dabed.

“When I’m in LA it’s just for work, but when we’re in Buenos Aires it’s just for us, my husband and I,” she said. “We can just relax.” Source

According to the actor, the company convinced him to star in the ill-fated film, guaranteed that he would be paid $4.5 million, even if the movie didn’t get made, and finally, that all of his expenses would be paid, which includes $50k to cover the cost of having his staff on location. Cusack’s lawyer, Marty Singer, says that John got his butt to Germany, started production, and then was told that the company couldn’t afford the guarantee. So, they’re claiming the company fraudulently made these promises, and then wanted to renegotiate for a lower amount after ensnaring him. Johnny is looking for $5,600,000 plus punitives. Source.
