Melissa will be on the new cover of WHO magazine’s 100 Sexiest people. On the cover, Melissa will be wearing swinwear and in my opinion, it will look very awesome. MELISSA George’s ship has finally come in, with the Hollywood-based Australian starlet on the ‘deck’ of her latest film Triangle yesterday.
Despite rain lashing the huge replica ocean-liner built on the Gold Coast Seaway wall at The Spit, filming began aboard the 55m, three-storey set on Monday for the $18million psychological thriller.
Weathering yesterday’s unusually gloomy conditions on the Gold Coast, the cameras kept rolling on the high but not-so dry structure.
The giant set took a few months to construct at the tip of the seaway wall but will be used for only a week of filming.
George was snapped yesterday being shuttled to the huge mock-up ship under the shelter of a golf cart.
In stark contrast to the relaxed surrounds, the former Home and Away star has been filming action sequences including fights on deck.
Melissa, 31, told The Courier-Mail recently that her star turn in Triangle was her most challenging role to date.
“It’s a tough role for me. Its about a woman with a mental disorder and the film is shown through three of her different personalities,” she said.
“So I’m working hard on this one.
“It’s me, myself and I on the set.”
George describes the film Triangle as “very Sybil meets Bourne Supremacy, if you can imagine that”. Source.
You remember that Jan De Bont flick John Cusack signed on for ages ago? The one that was going to give us a 51-minute chase scene? It was appropriately named Stopping Power, and it had so much flipping power that it stopped its own production back in October. Co-star Melissa George then swore it was still in the works, but that never went anywhere, and now Cusack is pissed. TMZ reports that he’s filed a lawsuit against Intermedia Film Equities USA (you can see the documents on the site).
According to the actor, the company convinced him to star in the ill-fated film, guaranteed that he would be paid $4.5 million, even if the movie didn’t get made, and finally, that all of his expenses would be paid, which includes $50k to cover the cost of having his staff on location. Cusack’s lawyer, Marty Singer, says that John got his butt to Germany, started production, and then was told that the company couldn’t afford the guarantee. So, they’re claiming the company fraudulently made these promises, and then wanted to renegotiate for a lower amount after ensnaring him. Johnny is looking for $5,600,000 plus punitives. Source.
