I have been away for the past few days and I saw that the .info domain has expired but nevertheless, the .com and .org is still functioning properly so I just thought it best to inform you of the change in URL. So you can now reach the site through www.melissa-george.com and www.melissa-george.org
HOLLYWOOD-based Aussie starlet Melissa George is still away but the rumours are true. She’s coming home.
The former soapie star has signed on as the leading lady in psychological thriller Triangle to be shot on the Goldy.
Word of negotiations between the actress and producers of the $18 million feature flick first hit Hollywood headlines in February.
But Qconfidential’s celluloid sources reckon the deal has finally been done, with Melissa signing on the dotted line in the past few days.
“She’s been contracted to play the lead,” an insider said.
“It’s all happened only in the last week.
“Obviously, she’s done quite a lot of horror films and she’s very well known in that genre. But this isn’t really a horror film.
” I think that’s what appeals to her. Its very much a cross-over film for her. It’s not blood and gore. It’s much more like Sixth Sense and Memento.”
Melissa, 31, is expected to jet into the Sunny State within six weeks to begin rehearsals for the film. She will be playing a woman with a mental disorder who relives a harrowing experience through her three personalities. Most of the action occurs on the water with five passengers of an upturned yacht fleeing on to an apparently abandoned oceanliner.
Filming will take place in a heated water tank at Warner Bros studios as well as cooler locations “all along the coast”. Or so we’re told.
Melissa is heading what is believed to be an all-Aussie cast. It is understood producers are in “discussions” with a couple of other well-known Aussie actors. On set, Melissa and co will be in the hands of Brit filmmaker and Severance director Christopher Smith. Source.
“I’m starting to get upset,” said Melissa George, the pretty blonde with the pouty lips and cat-like eyes who plays Laura on the HBO series In Treatment. “I want Hillary to get it.”
Ms. George was standing around with her husband, Claudio Dabed, looking healthy and politically-minded in a floral minidress at a cocktail party at the Hermes store in the Financial district that was cross-marketing the new $2.3 million Bugatti Veyron automobile. (The vaunted leather-goods and fashion house did the interiors.)
Ms. George’s Australian accent gives her origins away, but she feels strongly enough about American politics that she became a citizen last year, she said, so that she could vote in this presidential election.
(She’s looking for a place right now incidentally?”downtown in Chelsea or Tribeca”?so, you know, if you hear of anything …)
“If Hillary runs it, you get Bill Clinton too, which is the best president we’ve ever had,” she said, echoing one of the best messages of the Clinton campaign that seldom gets said out loud. “Then if Obama becomes vice president, he can get the experience through Hillary, and in eight years time, he can become president. That’s the way it should be.” Source.
Melissa, along with celebrities like Matt Rhys, Olivia Newton-John, Kimberly Joseph, Dannii Minogue, Amanda Detmer, Radha Mitchell and Rachel Bilson. The campaign’s aim is to get more Americans to put their clothes on a washing line rather than putting their clothes in a dryer. By using the washing line in stead of using the dryer, they hope to minimize the energy usage. The campaign comes from Hills, an iconic Australian brand of clothes lines.
The campaign starts off in a week’s time, so it’s a little while before it starts but check out the official site once the campaign is officially launched! Here is a link.

There are new pictures from Linneys where Melissa models for the new jewellery. These are fantastic pictures, actually one of my favorite shoot ever. Feel free to have a look! All thanks to the wonderful Sienna!
Thanks to littleone87 at Livejournal, I have now uploaded screen captures from “30 Days of Night”. There are 932 captures but not everything is sorted in order since some files have the number beyond 1000 and is therefore sorted after files with 100 in them and so on. You will understand when you see it.
Christina Ricci, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Melissa George were among the starlets who flew out to China on Thursday for a weekend of glamorous fesitivities to mark the 80-year anniversary of the house of Salvatore Ferragamo.
In a nod to Ferragamo’s pioneer spirit, Shanghai provided the setting for the celebrations, which kicked off with the unveiling of a retrospective – Salvatore Ferragamo: Evolving Legend 1928-2008 – at the city’s prestigious Museum of Contemporary Art. A fashion show was then held in a spectacular venue along the Huang Pu river, before a VIP cocktail party that continued into the night.
“This might be our 80th anniversary, but the fashion world has known the Ferragamo name for nearly a century,” said Wanda Ferragamo, wife of founder and design legend Salvatore, who died in 1960. “This event is especially important to us because it is the first time that we are presenting a retrospective not on Salvatore the man, but on the business he founded: its identity, innovations and values.”
The weekend also provided a platform for the label to launch its newest products: Tuscan Soul, the latest Ferragamo fragrance, and a new line of watches in conjunction with Timex. Source
